Christopher B. Kroll is the founding member of the law firm of Christopher B. Kroll & Associates, P.C. Serving clients at both his Shelby Township and Dearborn offices in Michigan, he is committed to providing solutions to clients whose needs span the scope of both Elder Law and Estate Planning.
Mr. Kroll is a 1980 graduate of Albion College. In 1984, he earned his Juris Doctor from the Detroit College of Law. Previously a Bank Trust Officer for Michigan National Bank and Financial Consultant for Solomon Smith Barney, Mr. Kroll’s areas of expertise include Nursing Home Planning, Medicaid, Medicare, Estate Planning, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, Guardianship, Conservatorship, Wills, Probate, and Veterans Benefits. Mr. Kroll is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, and its sections of Elder Law, Probate and Estate Planning. He is also a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) and certified by the veterans administration.

Fee Structure
Your initial consultation with me will be a “Legal Strategy Session”. This Legal Strategy Session is usually a one hour consultation where I answer questions, provide some initial legal advice, and you have the opportunity to get to know me. I charge my prevailing hourly rate for this service.
If at the end of this session you decide to retain me for legal assistance, I will credit the initial consultation against the cost of the services that I will be providing to you. Under certain circumstances, the cost of the “Legal Strategy Session” may be waived by me.
Services, such as Estate Planning, Incapacity Planning, and Medicaid Planning are on a “flat fee” basis. With this type of fee, the cost of the attorney’s services does not change so that you will know the charges upfront. If you decide to engage my services, a retainer is typically collected upfront. Please note: I do not accept credit or debit cards for payment.
If you require other legal assistance such as probate, trust administration, or guardianship or conservatorship, I will charge by the hour for my professional services plus fees. Again, a retainer is typically collected upfront.
